"Any who wish to harm Juliet must first contend with me."
The truth has come out of Juliet being alone after everyone in Neo Verona thought she had died in the fire, destroying the Capulet line forever. Juliet has been captured and is brought before the leader of the Montague’s who revels in her moment of despair realizing it was him who killed her family. He decides to set about her execution for seducing his son Romeo into leaving with her, even though she did nothing to persuade him at all.
Romeo's father has sinister plans to punish his son and the people of Neo Verona and tries to twist his son's love by saying she has used him to overthrow the house of Montague. He knows the truth though and seeks to help her in whatever way he can.
The dissidents plan their escape from the clutches of the Montague’s and this is where the series blossoms into an epic adventure. Mercurio and Antonio add extra depth to the other characters while others are in the series for their humour alone.
Conrad Montague is established as a cruel and heartless man who opposes their love and only makes their lives worse by interfering as they love each other dearly and wants nothing more than to marry and be together for eternity.
For those who like period dramas like this one, they will enjoy the action, unusual setting and rich characters in this volume. The story just keeps getting better and better, and the viewer will wonder how good this is going to get further on down the line.
