The Congolese government must immediately launch a thorough, impartial and independent investigation into the death of one of the country’s leading human rights activists, Amnesty International has said.

Amnesty International's interim Secretary General called for an international inquiry into the deaths caused by the raid on the aid flotilla in international waters outside Gaza on Monday.

Amnesty International has warned that a Malawian couple given a presidential pardon following their conviction of “gross indecency” and “unnatural acts” could face further harassment unless the law is changed.
