With the CRESST Experiment,
physicists from around Europe are searching for
a new form of matter, the Dark Matter.
This is believed to be the missing matter of the universe.

StatusCurrently the cryostat is being cooled down for run 31 at the
Gran Sasso
underground laboratory in Italy.
The upgraded setup contains 17 detector modules, four of them for testing new detector concepts as glued detectors and new materials.
