DID YOU KNOW THAT CFPA:

 

  • is the oldest private, nonprofit conservation organization in CT;

 

  • is largely responsible for the establishment of many of our state parks & forest, including Bluff Point, Rocky Neck, Sleeping Giant, Sherwood Island Gillette Castle, People's and Mohawk State Forest;

 

  • is a strong and respected advocate for conservation and environmental legislation in CT;

 

  • established and maintains the 700 miles of the Blue-Blazed Hiking Trail System.

 

 

 

The Connecticut Forest and Park Association (CFPA), in its 102nd year, is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and enhancement of Connecticut's natural resources, including its forests, parks, trails, wildlife and water. It is the oldest such organization in Connecticut, and one of the oldest in the nation.

The Association is a strong and respected voice in Connecticut.

All citizens concerned about Connecticut's environment and quality-of-life are invited to join the organization and support the efforts.
