If Cannes is about being heard, Blind Spot Pictures and its two genre films Iron Sky and Sauna where highly visible during Cannes. In Cannes, with several pages of advertising taken in the trade magazines, and across the Galaxy thanks to the www.wreckamovie.com internet platform where hot news from the Croisette were fed through a blog. Tero Kaukomaa, head of Bling Spot, sees the ‘wreck a movie' initiative as way to the future in terms of promotion. "It's a way to produce films with the community, to create a real interaction with the audience from development stage," he says.

The producer was in Cannes putting the financing together for Iron Sky, directed by Timo Vuorensola (Star Wreck). At the end of the market, a deal was closed with Germany's 27 Films Productions who was involved in Russian Ark and Black Book.

"Since we're making a film about space Nazis, we're going to need some really good German talent for the cast" said filmmaker Vuorensola. "We're also planning to shoot majority of the film in Germany."

Blind Spot Pictures who was handling pre-sales on the project, also closed a deal with Poland's largest independent distributor Kino ?wiat.
