"The human being, who guides and directs the beginning, the course and the end of the natural growth process, is the strongest force of nature. His capacity is the final decisive factor."
                                           – Ehrenfried Pfeiffer (1899-1961)

The mission of the Pfeiffer Center is to teach and spread awareness of the biodynamic method, which takes agriculture and land care beyond conventional notions of "sustainability" to demonstrate actual improvements in soil vitality and in the taste and nutritional quality of produce.

The Pfeiffer Center also fosters the use of gardening and experiential environmental education in primary and secondary schools. The Outdoor Lesson, our program for children, helps build up the future health of the earth by encouraging an attitude of reverence and joy toward nature and all its beings.
