DEMOS AGAINST ASTRAZENECA & SANOFI-AVENTIS CONTINUE IN FRANCE

Some activists of the Coalition Anti-Vivisection France gathered in front of the AstraZeneca and Sanofi-Aventis buildings in order to demonstrate within the context of the global campaign against Huntington Life Sciences : an infamous British & US laboratory where 500 animals are killed every day.

Indeed, this very controversial lab (sexual acts simulated, violence against puppies, data falsification..) tests all sorts of toxic products on different species which never come out alive from this animal hell!

The CAV was there (around 10 activists), armed with a giant banner with the eloquent words: “Cette entreprise gagne de l’argent sur la souffrance des animaux” (This company makes profit from the suffering of animals.). Leaflets were given out to people passing by, as well as guides to products which aren’t tested on animals.

We had placards denouncing the horrors that occur in HLS. Passersby could see the damage caused by animal testing.

PHYSICAL INJURY: Animals with electrodes implanted in the head, force feeding of toxic products which make them horribly sick, deliberately inflicted wounds left open so that “scientists” can apply all sorts of chemical “treatments” (the animals are literally decomposing), mutilated dogs are thrown in the trash… Images that are
unbearable for any normally constituted human being.

PSYCHOLOGICAL DAMAGE: Animals are condemned to live in cages with artificial light programmed to switch on and off at preset times, without any human affection, they live in stress and in constant fear of people in white who come to grab them and make them suffer all kinds of horrors.

A young boy, around 10 years old, was playing with his friends. When he passed by our placards, he made a horrible face, he was really shocked and said “Oh no !! It’s disgusting! Animals are nice, they don’t deserve it !!”.

Our question is : how can a 10 years old kid manage to understand the
immensity of the horror of a lab like HLS where as some clients like AstraZeneca or Sanofi keep denying the facts ?

Certainly the lure of profits…
