Children of LGBT parents are no more likely to be gay than anyone else. This is what the research and statistics say. This agrees with the science that says it is genetic and natural. While we can't say for sure why in every circumstance, the evidence points towards sexual variation being an adaption that helps our species. For scientific references on this topic see the wikipedia articles "LGBT parenting" and "Biology and sexual orientation" In my country we have Gay-Straight Alliances at schools and no one is allowed to make fun of kids for being gay or having gay parents, at least we hope. @Vaflaly and others, use science to shape your view of the world, not your imagination.

I'm a long run fan of Sir Elton John. But I don't think two guys should adopt children. The fact is simple, what will be this children sexual orientation? Chances are he will be as gay as his gays parents... Aggragating this fact to the entire humanity, we can say that if we were all gays, how could mankind lives for centries angain and again... Elton I love you, but I don't really think adopting a baby is a good idea in your case... And in the end think to that baby, imagine when he will be at school... I'm sure his friends will make fun up him about his gays parents. Sorry for him to be put in such a situation. Nobody ask him if he was ok with being adopted by two men, as we know that normal couple are Man and Woman.

People are 'born' gay just like child molesters are born to crave kids; both may be 'natural' but both are also immoral. Romans 1:26-27 says it all

Kim Greene - I am "over myself". If you read my entire post you will see that I DID adopt...I am not gay; I am not royalty - I adopted a child in need - because I could. Some people aren't allowed because of their beliefs that is all I am saying. I didn't mean to offend and yes - everyone does have a right to their oppinion but must the vast majority be hurtful and uneducated responses. To each his own; live an let live; all you need is love...sorry if I ruined your day. I was trying to say congratulations and should have left it at that since I do love the man for the celebrity he is and for all he does for AIDS research. I wish him the very best and I wish you the same.

Hugh Hefner, an 84 year old, can marry a 24 year old, and no one makes a fuss, but yet we can't let two men who have been in a relationship for 12 years get married?

You know, anyone that hires someone to fluff the pillows in the house every 15 minutes if a little of their nut, aloof and arrogant to begin with, which is what they do. Does anyone think that these to arrogant, narcissistic fellows are going to give much personal time to a baby? I'm 51 with some minor health issues and find it hard to raise my 3 yr old Grandson. I would imagine that these two idiots that hired a surrogate Mother to bare a child will probably end up doing the same in his life. Although that may be good in the long run. Elton John has always been fairly weird and self centered I can only imagine what this husband, boyfriend, jiz receptacle whatever you want to call him is probably no slouch when it comes to matching Elton's narcissism. Not a real good thought there boys, this baby will not grow up normal bet your life on it.

ok being a knight is not royalty ok? And to ?ur?a Astatijaznamsta because Adam doesn't share your opinion, he's an idiot -- oh yes, that's the broad-minded liberal at work. His opinion - while its different than yours - still deserves respect. His opinion might be based on his religious beliefs - you don't know. So who the heck are you to call him an idiot? And Connie - if this kind of cr*p makes you sad get over yourself. You only give a flying fig because Sir Elton is a celebrity..there are thousands of babies being adopted every day by straight and non-straight couples without getting your welfare folks and throwaway children drama. No one is hating on anyone, they are dealing with the broad display of sexual orientation and a long-held belief (backed up by religious training and scientific statistics) that children fare better when there are men and women both raising them. I'm sorry if you think your way is the best way great but again NOT EVERYONE believes as you do. I am not saying non-straight couples adopting is a bad thing - what I am saying is I hope they have plenty of day-to-day female role models in their son's life or else everything will be viewed in a decidedly male perspective and we all know that doesn't fare well..and please go ahead and tell me I'm wrong, I love that part...but just remember if you guys want to call everyone who doesn't believe as you do idiots then why are they wrong for dismissing your beliefs or calling you names? Mutual respect has to happen.

Please, Elton, read "A Divine REvelation of Hell" by Mary Baxter. Romans Chapter 1: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
