Elephants Dream is the story of two strange characters exploring a capricious and seemingly infinite machine. The elder, Proog, acts as a tour-guide and protector, happily showing off the sights and dangers of the machine to his initially curious but increasingly skeptical protege Emo. As their journey unfolds we discover signs that the machine is not all Proog thinks it is, and his guiding takes on a more desperate aspect.
I wish I knew what the purpose of the machine was. I fully understand the intentions of the video (old vs. young etc.) yet the machine is so perfect. Nothing goes amiss inside, and yet who built it? Proog? I know it's meaningless, but I have to ask these questions.
voice acting needs work obviously, but i think the concept is about the whole child youth being blinded before mature years and whatnot, because he couldnt see the same things as the other guy, clearly who was older and the end part was a self destructive tendancy to give into emotions as youngins do.
Elephants Dream is a computer-generated movie made using open source applications that premiered on March 24, 2006.
