Totesport League Division Two, Headingley: Kent 218-5 beat Yorkshire 216-6 by five wickets
England captain Michael Vaughan ended a run of poor form with a century for Yorkshire in a Totesport League Division Two match at home to Kent.
Vaughan hit 116 not out off 139 balls, striking 11 boundaries, and also took two wickets with his off-spin.
His main support came from Michael Lumb (28) and Tim Bresnan, who added 16 in an unbroken stand of 71 for the seventh wicket to take Yorkshire to 216-6.
But Kent won with four balls to spare as Matthew Walker hit 56 not out.
Kent's run chase was set up by Joe Denly and Martin van Jaarsveld, who put on 83 for the second wicket.
When they both fell just shy of fifties there was a bit of a stutter and an exciting finish before Walker and James Tredwell saw the visitors home.
