AUGUST 24 - 25, 2007
RAGNAR RELAY SERIES America's Largest Relay Series
Go on, paint your face. Trick out your van. Stay up all night. And rock out to live bands all along the way. Because Ragnar Relays are the wildest kind of races you’ll ever run.

How does it work?
It’s really quite simple. Pick one of our 3 amazing races. Get a bunch of friends together (or we can help you find team members who’ll quickly become your friends) and start running. Okay, there’s a tiny bit more to it. Your relay team will consist of 12 members. During the relay, each team member runs three legs, each leg ranging between 3 – 8 miles and varying in difficulty. This unique relay format results in a series of accessible races for less intense runners and yet challenging enough for the most competitive.

How do runners get from one exchange to the next?
Each team is responsible for providing two support vehicles, with six runners in each vehicle. The first vehicle will drop off the first runner, drive ahead a few miles, cheer on the runner, and provide them with water, snacks and plenty of love. That vehicle will then drive ahead to the first exchange point to drop off the second runner, and pick up the first runner when that leg is complete. They will repeat this pattern for six legs until they hand off to their second vehicle. This “leapfrogging” pattern will continue all the way to finish.

What is the Ragnar Relay Series?

With relay races in Arizona, Minnesota/Wisconsin, and Utah, the Ragnar Relay Series has quickly become the largest overnight relay series in the nation. In the Ragnar Relay Series every element from the route, to the mapping, to the t-shirts, comes together to provide the ultimate blend of athletic achievement and social enjoyment. We have searched all over the country for the best relay routes possible. We are very proud of the mountain route of the Wasatch Back, the river route of the Great River, and the desert route of the Del Sol.

All of our events are simulated before-hand using Automod Simulation Software. This software simulates race conditions, enabling us to provide the best possible logistics. All our events provide live music along the course, themed exchanges, and much more.
Operation Kids
The Rangar Relay Series supports Operation Kids with proceeds from each of its races. 100% of the donations from each Ragnar Relay and its participants will directly benefit well-deserving childrens charities in the area where the race is held. In 2006 the Ragnar Relay Series earned over $30,000 for Operation Kids.
