JOINING A FANPAGE: JELLYFISH TALES

My first graphic ever. Woohoo! I promise this will get better.

Yeah, yeah, I know, there already is a Jellyfish homepage. I wasn't going to do one, but, I really wanted to start a homepage for a band. There is no band I know more about than Jellyfish, other than the Beatles. There are zillions of people who know more than I do about the Beatles, but, extremely few who have loved and lost with Jellyfish like I have. I wanted to tell their story and mine. I think they're both pretty interesting and I hope you do too. Sadly, the story will have to be on hold. Why? Click the banner below....

Consider this a case study in fandom. I don't know too many non-hippie types who got as involved with a band as I did without actually knowing them or working for them. I loved Jellyfish, but, by the end had grown tired of the whole thing, just like the band themselves. I'll talk about my personal life a bit in the site and how it affected my "relationship" with the band. It's a pretty interesting tale, whether you know anything about the band or not.

My friend Dave Kaplan introduced me to talking about music and concerts in terms of bragging rights. I try not to brag but it sometimes comes off this way. Don't think I think I'm God's gift just because I got to see this band 13 times and a lot of you never got the chance to see them once. I wish every person that loves this band could've gone through as many interesting experiences as I did with them. What I wouldn't give to have been on that rooftop with the Beatles, seen Jimi at Monterey, or been to any of Tiffany's mall shows. Anyways, hopefully, this'll give those of you who came a bit late an idea of what it was like to dig them in the best place to have seen them a lot while they were around (their home state of California).

BAND HISTORY
The band history is the most interesting part of the site, as you'll learn once you start reading it. This is a chronological band history work in progress thing. Since I'm doing it in order, you'll just have to keep checking back to see what I've added. I am constantly changing stuff in here as people tell me more and more.
