Didak report thrown out

Collingwood forward Alan Didak is free to play against the Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday after being cleared of a striking report by the AFL match review panel.

A match-day report had been laid against Didak after he made contact with the head of Carlton's Heath Scotland during the Magpies' 44-point win yesterday.

However, the match review panel did not charge Didak, as it judged his contact was accidental and a legitimate attempt to bump.

Collingwood pair Dane Swan and Ben Johnson and Carlton forward Brendan Fevola can all accept $2,400 fines if they enter early guilty pleas to their involvement in a melee that followed Didak's contact with Scotland.

Fevola was also cleared of striking Swan, despite a match-day report being taken.

Meanwhile, Carlton's Jordan Bannister has been offered a one-match suspension after he was charged with a level-four striking offence against Collingwood's Brodie Holland.

Richmond's Ray Hall could also miss the final round of the minor premiership if he enters an early guilty plea to a level-three engaging in rough conduct offence.

Hall was reported following an incident involving Essendon's Damien Peverill during the Tigers' 16-point victory at the MCG last Saturday night.

The Bombers' Mark Johnson can accept a reprimand if he pleads guilty to a level-one striking offence against Richmond's Kayne Pettifer.
