Special Treat
A special private listening party for MELISSA ETHERIDGE’s new album "Fearless Love" was one of the many amazing events that took place at MICHELE CLARK’S SUNSET SESSIONS presented by M:M MUSIC and QUICK CLEAR MUSIC, in association with ALL ACCESS.
On SATURDAY AFTERNOON (2/20) convention attendees, along with about 50 listeners of host station KPRI/SAN DIEGO, witnessed a question-and-answer session with ETHERIDGE, were treated to an early listen to several tracks from her new album and were given the extra surprise of a special acoustic performance by the artist.
But ETHERIDGE was just one of the highlights of the gathering. There were 37 acts showcasing this year, including JASON MRAZ, NEEDTOBREATHE, ALPAH REV, MAIA SHARP with EDWIN MCCAIN, GRACE POTTER & THE NOCTURNALS, THE JOHN BUTLER TRIO, FANFARLO, LANDON PIGG and ONE ESKIMO. KIRTLAND RECORDS sponsored the FRIDAY NIGHT (2/19) Late Night Lounge, which featured SARAH JAFFE, SMILE SMILE AND BOB SCHNIEDER, and WARNER/REPRISE sponsored the SATURDAY NIGHT Late Night Lounge, showcasing SUSAN JUSTICE, TYLER HILTON and NIKKI & RICH.
In addition, all three business sessions were standing-room only and offered the attendees lively discussions about the issues that are most import to the radio, music and music supervision communities.
SUNSET SESSIONS 2010 took place at the beautiful RANCHO BERNARDO INN in SAN DIEGO. Registration was well past 400. It is expected the gathering will make a return visit to to the same location in FEBRUARY 2011.
CLARK said, "We are so grateful ALL ACCESS could join us this year! Their hard work in advance and during added much to our event!"
