Station Improvements
Hattiesburg:
The Hattiesburg Intermodal Center was dedicated on April 21, 2007. The former Southern
Railway station, restored at a cost of $10 million, features Amtrak service, bus service, taxis, and
automobile access. While the station is non-staffed, a Quik-Trak ticket machine was installed in 2008.
Picayune:
The newly constructed station was dedicated on October 16, 2008. This station completes the
restoration and/or new construction of all
Crescent
route stations in the State of Mississippi.
