Introducing Chesterfield
|
Chesterfield is Derbyshire's largest town with a resident population of approximately 100,000.
The historic market towns economy is changing, shifting away from traditional industries, such as coal mining and heavy engineering, into the growth of new manufacturing industries, new technology companies and the service sector.
Britains first new shopping centre of the 21st century opened here, strengthening Chesterfields role as the capital of north Derbyshire.
