From Ryan : This short features Louie the
mountain lion. This time, however, he is co-starring with Goofy rather than
Donald. I enjoy several fun gags such as when Donald and Louie are falling
and each of them takes turns sitting in the hammock, reading the paper. It
all works out at the end when Louie drags his tree that Goofy cut down back
home with him. An acorn, however, drops on Goofy's lawn (which is actually
on the roof of his condominium). Goofy plants this acorn and it instantly
grows into a small, budding tree.
-
From Frank : Normally I don't care much for
Goofy, but this short is hilarious. I can sense a certain Looney Tunes influence
here. Love it.
-
From Baruch Weiss : This is a great short
with great music done by Paul J Smith!
-
From Trae Robinson : I really thought that Goofy and the Lion were a funny pair. Too bad the lion was only in two classic cartoons with Goofy. The Lion returned several years later in "Goofy's Radio."
