Royal Variety Performance 2009
The Opera House Theatre, in Blackpool's Winter Gardens, hosted the 81st Royal Variety Performance, on Monday 7th December, 2009. The Performance was the first time that the Royal Variety has been staged in Blackpool since 1955 and Blackpool Council kindly agreed to display the famous Blackpool Illuminations along the route of the Royal party on the night. Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness Prince Philip attended a wonderful of evening of entertainment including fantastic performances by Lady Gaga, Michael Buble, Alexandra Burke and Diversity. The EABF would like to offer its heartfelt thanks to all of the artistes who appeared and gave their valuable time, and also to all those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, making the evening a night to remember.
