Rimnersvallen was inaugurated on 5th May 1923 and was then rebuilt for the 1958 World Cup. One match in the that World Cup was played at Rimnersvallen, Brazil vs Austria. That game ended 3-0 to Brazil and was watched by a 17 778 spectators, which of course still is the all-time attendance record for Rimnersvallen. Unlike most other grounds at this level (3) Rimnersvallen feels like a proper football ground and is well worth a visit.

Oddevold, from Uddevalla, played their so far only season in Allsvenskan in 1996 and has since then been relegated several times. They won Division 2 last season meaning they have returned to Division 1 for this season. Today´s visitors, Kristianstad, are not only my local team but also top of the league and with the game against Oddevold being the last game before the short summer break it was important to try and strengthen their grip on top spot. That was not to happen though, after a poor performance from Kristianstad Oddevold deservedly won the game 4-2.
