Burnside Park

Burnside Park is the largest, most successful business park in Atlantic Canada. It is home to over 1,300 enterprises and employs more than 15,000 people.

Burnside Park is a superior location with superb transportation links. Bounded by Highways 111 & 118, Burnside enterprises are within minutes of the downtown Halifax CBD, Halifax International Airport, and the Port of Halifax. In addition, Burnside Park has more public transit links than any Park in Greater Halifax. Burnside is extensively serviced by C.N.R. mainline, siding and common user facilities, and is home to the largest concentration of truck transportation in Atlantic Canada.

Burnside features over 100 Retail outlets, and the largest concentration of Sales and Service facilities in Atlantic Canada. Burnside also features one of the largest concentrations of suburban Offices in Greater Halifax. Burnside is also the Transportation and Warehousing centre of the Greater Halifax economy, with most of the major long-haul trucking firms located in the Park. Topography
Burnside Business Park has a rock-gravel base with a mixture of broadleaf and evergreen overburden. The Park has a 15 per cent slope rising from Bedford Basin to Burnside Drive.

Access
Burnside Park has excellent highway, airport, seaport, rail and public transit access. Its position on Bedford Basin beside the A. Murray MacKay Bridge allows enterprises at Burnside to conveniently access amenities on both sides of
of Halifax Harbour. When traveling within Halifax and beyond, Burnside Park is:

  • directly accessible to Highways 111 and 118
  • 6 mi. (10 km) to Downtown Halifax CBD
  • 3 mi. (5 km) to Ceres Container Terminal
  • 7 mi. (11 km) to Halterm Container Terminal
