Wellcome Strategic Programme

iSEI is pleased to announce the Wellcome Strategic Programme on The Human Body, its Scope, Limits and Future. This new 5-year programme of work is supported by a Wellcome Trust Biomedical Ethics Strategic Award of more than £800,000. Full details available in:

Who Owns Science? iSEI launch meeting and public lectures

To mark the launch of iSEI in July 2008, John Sulston, Chair of iSEI and Joseph Stiglitz, Chair of the Brooks World Poverty Institute, gave agenda-setting public lectures around the topic Who Owns Science? that considered whether science has become a victim of commercial funding.
