Link to K&K; Canada

K&K's origin dates back to 1952, when its founders, Nord and Teddi Krauskopf, began managing and marketing a benevolent fund to provide accident medical benefits to injured race car drivers. As avid motorsport enthusiasts, they had a unique understanding of the high risks associated with motorsport racing. This knowledge and experience allowed them to gradually expand their operation by designing and marketing numerous specialty products to benefit all aspects of the motorsport industry including: racetrack facilities, promoters, sanction organizations, associations, race teams and sponsors.

The Krauskopf's involvement in motorsports, however, wasn't exclusively focused on insurance. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, K&K was involved in a variety of racing activities as a team owner/sponsor. Nord's intense dedication and commitment eventually led to a number of impressive achievements, including:

- NASCAR's Grand National Championship in 1970 (currently known as the Nextel Cup Championship). The team was lead by legendary driver Bobby Isaac and Crew Chief Harry Hyde.
-

28 land speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats (many of which still stand today).

- A Pike's Peak Hill Climb Championship, driven by Bobby Unser.
- A closed-course world speed record set in 1971 (201.114) that remained the best in this class for over 13 years.
Nord retired from K&K in the late 70s, but the business philosophy and work ethic he instilled in the company still exists and contributes greatly to the success we enjoy today. Although K&K is no longer involved in motorsports as a car owner/sponsor, we remain the largest single provider of motorsports insurance in the industry.
