Welcome to Kjøge Miniature Town

Welcome to Kjøge Mini-Town

If you are in the neighbourhood of the town Køge, you should not miss a visit to Kjøge Mini-Town which is a working museum situated at Strandvejen 101 on a very attractive 14.000 m2 site nearby the sea, hotels and camping sites.
More than 100 people, mostly retired workmen, are building Køge as it looked in 1865 in a 1:10 scale. Everyone is working voluntarily.
When visiting our mini-town, you will be invited to see the workshops in which the houses are built from homemade bricks, tiles windows ect. In addition, Kjøge Mini-Town has a "shipbuilding yard" of its own in which ship´s models are buillt. After launch, the models are moored in the habour of the mini-town.

Køge is one of the oldest towns in Denmark and many of the houses in the mini-town can be seen in full scale, when walking around in the town of Køge.

Electric trains connect Køge with Copenhagen and there are only a 10-15 minutes walk from the railway station and the bus station to our mini-town. If you don´t want to walk, buses nos. 108 and 109 will take you from the bus station to a stop right outside the entrance.
Thanks to good signposting, the Mini-Town is also quite easy to find, when driving in car. A private parking place belongs to the Mini-Town.

We are sure that you will enjoy a visit to Kjøge Mini-town and the children will have some fun walking in a town of "dolls houses". At tables and seats, placed around the aerea, you can enjoy eating your homemade lunch basket.

We hope to see you in Kjøge Mini-Town.
