This database is a collection of past and present organizations (businesses, industries, nonprofits, schools, churches, parks and other organized entities) in the Massillon Area and is a product of the Massillon Public Library. It is intended as a resource for anyone interested in Massillon's rich history of development. The dates covered are from the early 19th century to present, but data collection is ongoing.

Data Collection
Information about the organizations in this database was obtained from historical Massillon city directories and the Massillon Business and Industry clippings files. These resources are maintained by the Massillon Public Library's reference department. Learn more about how we collected information about these organizations.

Database Images
Many of the database records include images of scanned clippings from the Massillon Independent, and that content is protected under a Creative Commons license. Scanned clippings from other sources are identified when used.
