In order to reduce both energy supply requirements and the ever-growing impact on the environment of air-conditioning installations, the "MED ENEC Project on Energy Efficiency in the Construction Sector" aims at giving a boost to energy efficiency measures and to the use of solar energy in the construction sector.
 
 
 
Energy Efficiency is a key for economic and environmental performance of a country, a community or a company. Therefore, it has become an important issue in a global market with more and more emphasis on needs to improve productivity and competitiveness and at the same time reducing energy consumption and global climate impacts. read

The public competition for pilot projects initiatives in the MEDA countries is closes on 31st of July 2006. The preliminary examination of proposed projects will be done during August 2006 and the results of the competition will be published on med-enec.com in September 2006. Awarding authority will offer the selected project initiatives a contract to support the implementation and monitoring of the pilot projects as well as the documentation and publication / disseminatin of the achived results. read
