Welcome!
2018-2019 Calendar

The Madison-Grant School Board of Trustees appreciates everyone's assistance in developing the 2018-2019 calendar. Your voice served as valuable guidance.

A Message From Our Superintendent

Dear Madison-Grant Community,

As we continue through the colder months of the school year, it has been exciting to see all the wonderful accomplishments of our students and staff. We welcomed three new groups of student-leaders into our National Honor Societies from the elementary, junior high, and high schools. Our girls volleyball team collected a sectional championship. The Guidance department received a $121,000 Lilly Counseling grant. And finally, our Madison-Grant Junior/Senior High School and Summitville Elementary School received ratings of “A” schools by the Indiana Department of Education. We are tremendously proud of these accomplishments, and many others, and we look forward to seeing what else is in store as we continue the 2017-2018 school year.

Below you will find information on an exciting project for Madison-Grant! In our efforts to increase our energy efficiency, we are building a solar array field on the Madison-Grant Junior/Senior High School property. Beginning in early 2018, our Junior/Senior High School building will operate on solar power. Through an agreement with our electricity provider, Indiana Michigan Power (IMP), we will be able to supplement our energy consumption from IMP with our solar production, sell our excess electricity to IMP, and still purchase power from IMP when needed. Long term, the Madison-Grant Junior/Senior High School property will not have rising energy costs, which allows us to reinvest the savings back into our schools!

Thank you for your continued support and interest in the Madison-Grant United School Corporation!

Sincerely,

Scott A. Deetz
