Category: Ham Radio: Wire antennas
|
Description: Wire antennas for ham radio. Many ham radio operators rely on simply wire antennas (inverted V, dipole, inverted L, loops, off center fed dipoles, Tee antennas and many more). This category contains several easy-to-build wire antenna projects for HF. |

Folded Dipoles
Folded Dipoles. The folded dipole still uses roughly the same length as a regular dipole (468 / f), however a second wire is added and "folded" back onto the dipole with some small spacing. Thus the name folded dipole. This affects the feedpoint impedance. The antenna sort of resembles a flattened quad.
