A Message from the President
President Imran Bhatti MD
My dear Fellow Nishtarians:
I am honored and excited to serve you as President of Nishtar Alumni Association for the 2011 term.
Myself and the entire Executive committee is committed to developing another exciting year for our Alumni.
The NANA is committed in recognizing and nurturing the rich and proud heritage of Nishtar medical College, the Alumni, the faculty and staff, and the current and future student body through the development of mutually beneficial relationships. It should be the function of the Association to develop ways and means to involve and communicate with the Alumni and to see that the Alumni are recognized as a respected and integral part of the our Alma mater.
With that charge, we will focus much of our future effort on Alumni growth, improvement of communication with our stakeholders .
We will continue to fund one major project in NMC every year as we have done in the past few years. Projects that we are especially proud of include 25 scholarships per year , extension project of the pediatrics ward, conference room in the ER, and this year Simulation Lab for the students.
I became involved with the Association because I was grateful to NMC for providing an arena to reach many of my personal growth, career, and professional goals. I feel a deep sense of obligation to repay my debt of gratitude to NMC for helping me reach these goals. I'm sure many of you feel the same way; if not, please stop and reflect on your personal life.
Together we can influence the future of our Alma mater, build a legacy that will maintain the name, strengthen the reputation of the NMC, and increase the value of our degrees.
