About this fact sheet

The National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) is a publicly accessible database with information on the types and amounts of substance emissions to the Australian environment.

The NPI contains data on 90 substances that are emitted to the environment. The purpose of the substance fact sheets is to provide background information about individual substances and their health and environmental effects.

The fact sheets also describe how you might be exposed to a substance, common uses and sources of emissions, and physical and chemical properties.
