Career Overview

Holt, 6-0, 190 pounds, is a seven-time Pro Bowl selections (2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007), who has played in 173 career games with 159 starts and ranks 10th in NFL history with 13,382 receiving yards and 11th in receptions with 920. Holt has averaged 77.4 yards per game during his career, a mark that ranks third in NFL history. He ranked first in the NFL from 2000 through 2009 with 868 receptions and 12,594 receiving yards, a mark that is an NFL record for most receptions in a decade.

Holt has played in 10 postseason games and two Super Bowls, all with the St. Louis Rams, accumulating 47 receptions for 630 yards and four touchdowns. He set a Super Bowl rookie record with seven receptions and 109 receiving yards in the Rams 1999 Super Bowl win over Tennessee. 

Holt originally joined St. Louis as a first-round draft choice (6th overall) out of North Carolina State in 1999. He was waived by the Rams on March 13, 2009 and was signed by Jacksonville on April 20, 2009. Holt was released by the Jaguars on February 11, 2010.

Last season with Jacksonville, Holt started in 12 of the 15 games he played and finished with 51 receptions for 772 yards.

2007 Season

  • Led team with 93 receptions for 1,189 yards and seven touchdowns. 
  • Selected to his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl, his seventh overall.
  • Finished with seven receptions for 93 yards and one touchdown vs. Carolina (9/9) and passed Stanley Morgan for 20th place on the NFL's all-time receiving yards list.
  • Surpassed the 11,000 career receiving yards mark, the fastest player to do so (131 games) vs. Arizona (10/7).

  • Tied for third in the NFL with 94 receptions for 1,372 yards and 10 touchdowns.

  • Made 500th career reception, a 9-yard reception, in the third quarter at Arizona (12/19). 
  • Recorded his sixth 100-yard receiving game of the season vs. N.Y. Jets (1/2) as he finished with seven receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns. 
  • Posted second career 100-yard receiving game in the postseason as he finished with six receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown in NFC Wild Card Game at Seattle (1/8).

2003 Season

  • Torry Jabar Holt was born on June 5, 1976 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Attended Hargrave Military Academy in 1994 and finished with 21 receptions for 524 yards and six touchdowns.
  • Earned all-state honors at Eastern Guilford High (N.C.).
  • Posted 129 career receptions for 2,573 yards and scored 42 touchdowns.
  • Had 56 receptions for 983 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior.
  • Returned three punts and three kickoffs for touchdowns during his career.
  • Also played defensive back and had 62 tackles and four interceptions as a senior.
  • Created the Holt Foundation in 1999 in memory of his mother, Ojetta Holt-Shoffner, to support the fight against cancer in all forms, with a specific emphasis on children.
