OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION Prevacid is approved for GERD in children ages 1 to 11 years. Individual results may vary. Prevacid is generally well-tolerated. The most frequently reported side effects in children were constipation and headache. The most frequently reported side effects in adults were diarrhea, abdominal pain and nausea.
