Scope
Chem Soc Rev (Chemical Society Reviews) is the Royal Society of Chemistry's leading reviews journal, publishing high-impact, succinct and reader-friendly articles at the forefront of the chemical sciences. Reviews should be of the very highest quality and international impact. We particularly encourage international and multidisciplinary collaborations among our authors.
The majority of reviews will be solicited by members of the editorial board in accordance with editorial policy. However, the editorial office welcomes suggestions for reviews that would be suitable for the journal.

ChemSocRev Emerging Investigator Lectureship
This Lectureship recognises mid-career researchers, within 9–15 years of their PhD, who have made a significant contribution, in their independent academic career.
This award is presented annually. Nominations open in the autumn and close in late winter. The winner is announced in the first half of the year
Nominations are welcome from anyone and are to be sent to the Editorial Office with details explaining the reason for their nomination. Self-nomination is not permitted.
The nominations are then shortlisted by a selection panel from the ChemSocRev Editorial Board, who will ask each shortlisted candidate to provide a brief supporting statement, before selecting a winner.
The recipient of this award receives: the opportunity to present at 3 different locations over a 12-month period, with at least one event taking place at an international conference, and a contribution of up to £1,500 to cover associated travel and accomodation costs. Also, a certificate and an invitation to submit a review article to ChemSocRev.
Latest recipient: Rafal Klajn Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel

Journal specific guidelines
The following guidelines are journal specific. For general guidance on preparing an article please visit our Prepare your article page, the content of which is relevant to all of our journals.
To aid the editorial board to judge the suitability of a proposed review for the journal, all authors should complete a review proposal form. The aim is not to provide an extra burden for the author, but to ensure the article will appeal to the journal's intended readership and to reduce the overall time and work needed in the preparation of the final manuscript. Acceptance of the proposal by the editorial board does not guarantee publication of the final manuscript. Review proposal forms should be submitted via our online submission system.
For accepted proposals or invited submissions, authors are encouraged to submit their full manuscript on the Royal Society of Chemistry article template, which is available to download here.
