Ginkgo Biloba

Ginkgo Biloba has become one of the most popular medicinal herbs in the United States and in Europe, where it ranks among the most widely used medicine. Ginkgo, often found around Buddhist pagodas, is considered holy throughout Asia. Its tree is one of the oldest surviving trees on earth. It even survived the Atomic bomb in Hiroshima, Japan where a number of Ginkgo trees withstood the 1945 nuclear explosion.

Considered by many in Asia as a tonic especially for old people, Ginkgo helps prevent and treat many conditions associated with aging, including Alzheimer's disease, heart disease, stroke, impotence, hearing problems, and bad vision. In the Indian healing system of Ayurvedic, Ginko is linked to longevity.

Healing Power of Ginkgo Biloba

It is considered to be an antioxidant. Antioxidants help prevent and reverse the cell damage caused by free-radicals, which causes many of the degenerative conditions associated with old age. Because Ginkgo contains antioxidants it improves blood flow through the brain and the heart and protects them from the blood clots. It also helps control the transformation of cholesterol into plaque that causes the hardening of arteries.
