Son of the former Springbok lock with the same name, Schalk is one of the most iconic figures in world rugby. With his incredible work rate and physical style, he has become one of the most feared and respected loose forwards. He has received international accolade, winning the 2004 IRB player of the year, and was one of the integral players in the Springbok’s 2007 World Cup winning side. His ability to play anywhere across the back of the scrum, as well as his physical presence, will once again have a massive impact in the Vodacom WP and Stormers sides as it has for the last six years.
