It is the vision of the KMS community to provide a safe, caring, structured learning environment in which students demonstrate pride in themselves and their school...a place where students and staff look forward to coming. With support from all, we expect proficiency success, 100% promotion, and improved attendance for students and staff. As a result, model citizens who are knowledgeable and dedicated will contribute back to society.

The Mission of Karaffa Middle School
Our mission is to increase student responsibility through team effort among students, parents, and staff that encourages improvement in attitude, attendance, and achievement.

School Hours
Students: 7:30am — 2:25pm
Staff: 7:30am — 3:00pm

Curriculum
The curriculum offered at Karaffa Middle School has been aligned with the Ohio Academic Content Standards at all levels grades fifth through eighth. In addition to its regular educational program, Karaffa Middle School has two cross-categorical special education units offering courses and Title I services for Reading and Math.

Building Location/History
Karaffa Middle School was built in 1982. It is located in the south end of Toronto on Dennis Way. The school is equipped with 16 academic classrooms, a fine arts wing, a gymnasium, and a large commons area. Karaffa Middle School has a computer lab with twenty-five computers,as well as, computers that are stationed in classrooms throughout the school.
