The University of California Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal (Comm/Ent) is the nation's preeminent law journal covering the rubric of communications, entertainment, and intellectual property law. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Comm/Ent's subject matter has expanded to include issues such as the Internet, telecommunications, biotechnology, multimedia, broadcasting, and constitutional law. The journal thus provides an important forum for legal scholarship in areas of law which will have vast influence in shaping the economy and society of the next century. Each quarterly issue of Comm/Ent includes scholarly articles and student notes addressing timely issues in these and other fields. Many practitioners and scholars rely on the journal to keep them abreast of the law in these rapidly evolving areas.

Our Web site offers resources and information that complement our printed publication. We offer a searchable index of past authors and articles, a calendar of events, online publications of abstracts and student notes, names and contacts for people involved in the journal, as well as links to legal research resources and other law journals.

This site also provides current information about Comm/Ent's 10th annual Computer Law Symposium (MCLE accredited). The Symposium features presentations by leading practitioners and scholars on hot legal topics. In addition, the Symposium includes panel discussions during which attendees and panelists can discuss key issues.

Subscriptions are available here on the site or by contacting the Hastings Scholarly Publications Office at (415) 551-4102. Comm/Ent is always seeking practitioners' and scholars' articles for publication. With an impressive circulation, Comm/Ent assures its authors of exposure to the most important attorneys, professors, and policy makers in the country. Submissions may be made online or by mail to:
