SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Dec. 8, 1997 -- Sports enthusiasts looking for comprehensive, up-to-the-minute information on their favorite sports from around the world need look no further. Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) today announced the launch of Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com), formerly known as Yahoo! Scoreboard, offering comprehensive information and coverage of sports leagues and sporting events around the globe, plus sortable stats ideal for fantasy gamers.
