Ever have probs with rust?Never liked soluable oils an coolents in browines..Plus over the weekend it can really stink from bacteria when you come in on Monday...Itsapookie..if you think B&S setup people are getting hard to find,you should try an find a True Bullard VTL setup man...Really hard now a days..Everything is programmed in for the operator..Old machines still do the job well..Its the setup an operator who make it bad..Take care of the machine,an it will run another 100 years.

that's right 1965. it is time consuming to set up but it works good. i wish someone would post a foot treadle screw machine. those are cool.

no you just have to run leaded steel haha if you want your parts to have a semi-good finish. jk jk but unfortunately the talent base for these machines are shrinking at an alarming rate!

Sorry- misread your post. You obviously know it's single spindle.
CNC's are great for so much- but when you've gotta put out a lot of less complex parts, they can't touch these old Screw Machines. And with attachments and spindle brake, cross drilling, slitting, etc. add more capability.
